Idre, June 2003

Idre is situated ca 500 km north of Stockholm in the lower part of the swedish mountains. I brought my inlines but it was not a good place to skate unless you are interessted in skating uphill (or downhill).

Wednesday: Skating 7 km uphill from Idre village to the turning to Idre mountain station (without stopping).

Thursday: Before start.

Thursday: I started from the turning to Idre mountain station and skated without stopping as far up as there was asphalt (Nipfjällets parking lot), 6 km. Then I continued 75 meters and took this photo.
The mountain in the background is Städjan.
