World Grand Prix Marathon Speed Skating, 16 Feb 2008.

Since I was in Borlänge in the landscape Dalarna I went to lake Runn/Ösjön for some
recreational skating. Instead I found myself in the middle of this race.

Luckily I had my camera with me.

The women class started at 9 am.

The men started 4 minutes later.

In the second lap the men pack caught up the woman pack. (Each lap was 6,8 km).

In the middle is Elma de Vries who finally won the woman class.

Ruud Aerts who finally won the men class.

These two skaters were in the lead for a while.

Unfortunately I had to leave before the race was finished.
